DJ Foundations introduces students to the fundamentals of DJing, including equipment basics, music structure, beatmatching, and smooth transitions. Students learn how to use professional DJ controllers, build playlists, and understand how songs are structured to create seamless mixes. Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, students begin developing timing, musical awareness, and confidence behind the decks. The course concludes with each student performing a short live set, giving them their first experience mixing music in front of an audience.

COUSE 2: 8 WEEKS

Decks & Effects

Performance Mixing takes students to the next level by focusing on advanced mixing techniques, creative transitions, and live performance skills. Students explore tools like loops, hot cues, and layered mixing while learning how to control energy and flow within a DJ set. The course also emphasizes stage presence, back-to-back DJ collaboration, and adapting music to different audiences. Through structured practice and performance exercises, students develop the ability to craft longer, more dynamic sets and perform with confidence in front of a crowd.

COUSE 3: 8 WEEKS

Spin Your Brand

The Business of DJing teaches students how DJs turn their skills into real opportunities by developing a personal brand and preparing for live events. Students learn how to organize music libraries, build sets for different types of events, and understand the basics of marketing, social media, and client communication. The course also introduces microphone skills, event preparation, and professional etiquette so students understand what it takes to perform at parties, school dances, and community events. By the end of the session, students create their own DJ identity and perform a themed event-style set.
